SB 215 Cannabis Reform - Revisions Oppose Passed 2025
Bill Focus: Cannabis
Bill Information:

Also opposed (unanimously) by the Cannabis Public Health Advisory Council
Would authorize two new types of venues (consumption sites and cannabis events) for consumption of oral
cannabis, that is “edibles” and beverages, without necessary safeguards.
Does not include health restrictions on the location, advertising or promotion of on-site cannabis consumption
establishments and cannabis events, to which dispensaries are subject to.
Expands public access to oral cannabis products (which may have an 8-12 hour duration of action).
Customers in consumption sites can order multiple single servings of cannabis.
Unlike the case with dispensaries, the bill does not place any restrictions on where onsite cannabis
consumption sites and cannabis events can be located, and does not include advertising restrictions to
cannabis.
