The bill (1) enhances requirements for tobacco product placement and age verification, (2)  provides additional licensure requirements for the manufacture, distribution or sale of electronic smoking devices, (3)  Prohibits the sale of tobacco products and electronic smoking devices in pharmacies, and (4) increases the low licensing fees to a level that can sustain state monitoring and enforcement.

MDDCSAM Testimony: Support with Amendments. We proposed an amendment to remove the age exemption for active-duty military that exempts the prohibition of tobacco sales to people under age 21.
