Would allow communities to to establish an Overdose and Infectious Disease Prevention Program to provide a location for the consumption of pre-obtained drugs, provide sterile needles, administer first aid, and a variety of other services. In scores of countries and several within the U.S., this has been shown to reduce overdose deaths, infectious disease, provide much needed services which can profoundly benefit this population, including the possibility of referral to treatment.
