Advocacy

MDDCSAM members determine our position on (sometimes controversial) issues through the Public Policy Committee.  The PPC collaborates with Maryland organizations to help shape legislation in Annapolis every year, and is a trusted, influential resource to state legislators. We provide testimony in areas such as Overdose, MOUD, Treatment Access, SUD, Decriminalization, Harm Reduction, Behavioral Health Parity, Alcohol, Tobacco, Cannabis and Psychedelics, Recovery, and MOUD-Stigma.  Or just stay informed about upcoming issues and votes during the Maryland General Assembly session.
